TUTOPATCH®

• TUTOPATCH® is a collagen membrane, extracted from solvent-preserved bovine pericardium sterilised by gamma irradiation. It is used for the purpose of reinforcement, regeneration and replacement of connective tissue structures
• TUTOPATCH® initially provides a reliable closure of the tissue defect and acts as a template for the cellular repair mechanism, which replaces the template with the body’s own natural tissue.

Indications
TUTOPATCH is used as replacement or reinforcement of connective tissues and as a barrier membrane in many disciplines, including the following: (These indications are not a complete list of all the possible therapeutic uses of TUTOPATCH®.)

- Neurosurgery: duraplasty, dural extension, dural replacement
- ENT: tympanoplasty, duraplasty (frontal and skull base), protection of the dura in the case of bone defects in air-filled sinuses, closure of the sinus entrance in frontal sinus obliteration, closure of nasal septal perforations, covering intermediate bone in nasal grafts, sling procedures in facial nerve paralysis, protection of deep structures following radical dissection of the neck, reinforcement of tracheal sutures, filling defects after parotidectomy
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery: orbital floor repair, closure of facial maxillary sinus wall, protection of Schneider’s membrane in sinus floor augmentation, membrane for GTR und GBR
- Ophthalmology: covering scleral buckles, scleroplasty
- Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery: pericardium replacement, chest wall replacement, suture reinforcement in cases of lung resection and oesophageal sutures, closure of the retroperitoneum, covering vascular grafts
- Abdominal surgery: reinforcement of abdominal covering in hernia operations (beware of abdominal wall replacement), hiatus hernia
- Urology: suture reinforcement in the case of ruptured kidneys, patch repair following renal pole resection, replacement of the tunica albuginea
- Gynaecology: sling procedures for stress incontinence, sacrocolpopexy for vaginal prolapse
- Orthopaedics: resection-interposition arthroplasty
- Trauma surgery: reinforcement of primary ligament and tendon sutures
- Plastic surgery: filling subcutaneous defects, wrinkle filling

BONE MATRIX X

• Bone Matrix X is a bone graft material made from solvent-preserved bovine cancellous bone, sterilised by gamma irradiation.
• Bone Matrix X acts as a template for the local regeneration of vascularized bone. The bone remodeling process depends on the size of the graft, the capacity for regeneration of the implant bed and on comorbid diseases such as diabetes. If there is no impairment, remodeling may take several weeks or even months.

Indications
Bone Matrix X is used in areas where cancellous rather than cortical bone is required. These include the filling of bone defects and reconstruction of resected or damaged bone, particularly in the case of a change of prosthesis.

TUTOBONE®

• TUTOBONE® is a bone graft made of solvent-preserved, gamma-ray-sterilized bovine cancellous bone.
• TUTOBONE® functions as a guide rail for the regeneration of local, vascularized bone tissue. Since TUTOBONE® can undergo osteoclastic resorption, it is integrated in the body's own remodeling process in which the formation of the body's own bone tissue occurs at the same time as resorption of the graft.

Indications
TUTOBONE® is used to fill and stabilize bone defects and to create bony structures in areas where cancellous bone rather than cortical bone is needed

TUTOMESH®

• Collagen membrane for the reinforcement, regeneration and replacement of connective tissue structures. It is extracted from solvent-preserved bovine pericardium sterilized by gamma irradiation.
• TUTOMESH® initially provides a reliable closure of the tissue defect and acts as a template for the cellular repair mechanism, which replaces the template with the body’s own natural tissue.

Indications
TUTOMESH® is indicated in all cases which require reinforcement, regeneration or replacement of tissue, e.g. closure of an incisional hernia, where the closure does not have to be watertight.
