ALLOGRAFTS

Tutoplast® Cortico-Spongious Granula and Chips

• Dehydrated human cortico-spongious granula and chips, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® Cortico-Spongious Granula and Chips graft acts as a guide for the production of vital, vascularised bone tissue by remodelling.

Indications
Replacement or strengthening of lost, resected or weakened bone. Especially for the filling of irregular bone cavities or chip grafting.

Tutoplast® Cancellous

• Human cancellous bone, preserved using the Tutoplast® process, sterilised by gamma irradiation
• The pack contains a mould or the quantity of ground substance stated on the outer packaging.
• Bone graft in the form of cancellous particles, blocks, discs, dowels, wedges, half and whole femoral heads. The grafts are usually whitish in colour.

Indications
To cover or fill bone defects or to create bony structures. Positive experience has been reported from orthopaedics and maxillofacial surgery.
Further applications have been described in other surgical specialities.

Tutoplast® Cartilage

• Human costal cartilage, sterilised with gamma rays.
Excipients: The solution consists of sterile 0.9% NaCl and 1.5% H2O2 solution.
• Tutoplast® Cartilage acts as a framework and is slowly encapsulated by connective tissue whilst maintaining its shape to the greatest possible extent.

Indications
For the reconstruction of chondral and bony structures, especially of the nasal septum, nasal dorsum and orbital floor.

Tutoplast® Dermis

• TUTOPLAST® DERMIS is a collagenous membrane derived from solvent preserved, γ-irradiated human Dermis.
• The natural collagen structure and consequently the high biomechanical stability of this tissue are preserved due to the Tutoplast® process.
• TUTOPLAST® DERMIS works as a biological scaffold for the new formation of resident vascularised connective tissue. The process of resorption and new tissue formation generally begins after a few days post surgery and extends over several weeks and months. This remodeling process depends on the size of the tissue and the remodeling capacity of the recipient site.

Indications
For implantation as a replacement or reinforcement of lost, resected or weakened connective tissue in areas in which the biomechanical properties of TUTOPLAST® DERMIS offer adequate initial stability.

Tutoplast® Fascia temporalis

• Dehydrated human fascia temporalis, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® Fascia temporalis graft acts as a guide for the production of vital, vascularised tissue.

Indications
Tutoplast® Fascia temporalis is particularly well suited as a replacement for the eardrum and for lining the auditory canal.

Tutoplast® Femur

• Dehydrated human femur, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® Femur graft functions as a fill-in and is slowly remodelled into vital bone.

Indications
As a fill-in, e.g. in fusion operations on the spine or for replacing massive resected sections of bone.

Tutoplast® Fibula

• Dehydrated human fibula, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® Fibula graft functions as a fill-in and is slowly remodelled into vital bone.

Indications
Tutoplast® Fibula is indicated in areas requiring compact bone, such as fusion operations on the spine.

Tutoplast® Iliac Crest

• Dehydrated human iliac crest, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® Iliac Crest graft acts as a guide for the production of vital, vascularised bone tissue by remodelling.

Indications
Tutoplast® Iliac Crest is indicated in situations in which a cortico-spongious block graft is required, as for example for filling bone defects or for the replacement of resected bone.

Tutoplast® Ossicula auditus (auditory ossicles)

• Dehydrated human auditory ossicles, sterilised by gamma irradiation.
• The package contains one sterile dehydrated human auditory ossicle: hammer (malleus) or anvil (incus). One auditory ossicle (hammer/malleus or anvil/incus) consists of approx. 25 mg human connective and supporting tissue.

Indications
Tutoplast® - Ossicula auditus is used to replace or restore the auditory ossicle chain and the sound transmission in the middle ear.

Tutoplast® Patella

• Dehydrated human patella, gamma-sterilised.
• One cubic centimetre of Tutoplast® Patella plugs consists of approx. 0.8 g, one cubic centimetre of Tutoplast® Patella block of approx. 1.1 g natural mineral collagen composite.
• The Tutoplast® Patella graft acts as a guide for the production of vital, vascularised bone tissue by remodelling.

Indications
For transplantation as a replacement for bone in areas in which the bio-mechanical properties of Tutoplast® Patella offer sufficient initial strength, as for example in the case of intercorporal fusion or for supporting the acetabular roof.

Tutoplast® Pericardium

• Dehydrated human pericardium, gamma sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® - preserved pericardium acts as a spacer and is slowly converted into the body’s own tissue.

Indications
For implantation as a replacement or reinforcement of lost, resected or weakened connective tissue in areas in which the biomechanical properties of Tutoplast® Pericardium offer adequate initial stability.

Tutoplast® ATT (Tendo musculi tibialis anterioris)

• Dehydrated human tibialis anterior tendon, gamma sterilised.
• The biological implant Tutoplast® ATT acts as a spacer and is slowly converted into the body’s own tissue.

Indications
Tutoplast® ATT is used for replacing or reconstructing the anterior or posterior cruciate ligament
- for Achilles tendon ruptures (particularly when chronic).
- for replacing other ligaments and tendons with a comparable thickness.

Tutoplast® Biological Implant

• Dehydrated human tissue from the connective or skeletal tissue system, gamma-sterilised.
• The Tutoplast® - preserved biological implant acts as a spacer and is slowly converted into the body’s own tissue.
• The Tutoplast® - preserved biological implant provides an effective matrix and guide for the formation of new viable, vascularised tissue by means of remodelling.

Indications
For the coverage or filling of defects, or for the reconstruction of body structures.

Tutoplast® Fascia lata

• Dehydrated human thigh fascia (fascia lata), sterilised by gamma irradiation.
